Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really love but... I love cleansing balms and this one is no exception. HOWEVER...for the amount of product that comes in the tub and the one mesclun cloth given, it doesn't add up. I feel there could have been a second cloth included considering they get super dirty super quickly and are hard to wash. My face definitely feels clean and supple like the product states but at times when I use it I seem to feel this oily filmy layer on my skin. Washing my face with a cleanser afterwards corrects this problem though! Overall, love the natural organic quality of this product and would definitely repurchase. I feel the pros outweigh the cons.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just as good as the top brands. Wasn't sure about trying this after reading the reviews, but I saw that this was on offer so I thought to give it a try. I have oily skin and have been using the 'Hot Cloth Cleansing' routine for years now and have no issues whatsoever in fact, my skin has got a lot better for it. One thing I noticed with this product that it was a lot more 'oily' than the other creamy oil textured cleansers, but that didn't bother me much, it just meant that I had to rub it into my skin a bit more. One thing I noticed on some of the reviews were comments in regards to the skin still feeling oily afterwards. This shouldn't happen and it didn't happen to me when I used it, but I have found that 1. The cloth provided with these cleansers are not that great and 2. The water temperature is not hot enough to take off the cleanser off the skin. 3. The product doesn't say how much you should use, so some people can be using too much. I use about a pea size amount, rubbed into my palm and then onto my skin. When I use these type of cleansers, I always use a face flannel or baby flannel. I find these to work so well with taking off the cleanser from the skin and also good for getting rid of the dead skin cells. I always use hot ( not scolding) water and always place the cloth into a bowl or sink for a few seconds, to soak up the water, wring out the cloth until it feels damp, place the cloth onto the whole of my face for a few seconds to help melt the cleanser and then sweep the cloth all over face, concentrating on my nose and chin area as it gets so oily. I then rinse the cloth, repeat again and my skin is soft without any oily feeling and I can put on my moisturiser straight afterwards. I have now been using this for just over 3 weeks and I haven't had a issue with breakouts or anything - even in this hot weather, so it gets a 10/10 from me. I say to other reviewers, who didn't like it and still have the product, try it again but use another cloth or flannel than the one provided.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It has completely transformed my skin I never really review products but I felt I had to with this product. In the last 2 years my skin had become awful, I was unable to get rid of spots and they just kept reappearing. My sister recommended this product to me, and I didn't believe that it would work as I have combination skin, very oily skin in my T-Zone and my chin (putting any moisturizers etc on makes me break out even more) and extremely patches (mainly my cheeks) . Within one use of this product, my skin had already calmed down and the redness had reduced, and within one week my skin was completely clear. I only use this product at night, by washing my make up off, using the product, and then washing it off. It does leave a bit of a residue on my skin, which I then wash off with just the boots gel cleanser. The muslin cloth isn't the best, and I have to wash it at least every 2 days to get rid of the stuff that builds up, so I tend to use just a normal flannel. I absolutely love this product, and although it seems pricey, it lasts for over a month (using it once a night).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Moisturising balm I have been wanting to try a cleansing balm for ages but many are too expensive. This balm was reasonably priced so I thought I'd give it a go. It is very oily and rich in consistency so glides over the skin and feels lovely. It didn't remove my mascara very well but did get rid of my foundation. It left my skin very oily so I always cleanse again with my normal cleanser to remove the oiliness. It's keeping my skin nice and moisturised and I will continue to use it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not worth the criticism Personally, from not having used the previous formula, i think this is amazing. For a relatively cheap balm cleanser which are all the rave i think this is perfect for cleansing the face without too much residue. If balm cleansers are new to you the texture can be bizarre but personally i love this for smoothing, hydrating and cleansing. I wish people would look at this without comparing to the old formula for i have never tried that but this formula, i think is pretty darn amazing. Not for removing makeup for me, i use a miscellar water or wipes to remove makeup and then cleanse with this balm, but it can be used for removing makeup, i just find it too heavy and wasteful. Overall i love this, and truly worth a go especially to help with dehydrated, spotty skin :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent value for money I absolutely adore this product. I've got slightly dry skin, particularly around my nose and this sorted it out almost immediately. My face feels thoroughly cleansed and in no way tight after using it, unlike my previous cleanser. I've recommended it to two friends with similar skin and they love it as well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from botanics cleansing balm So, so dissapointed to find that my favourite boots product had changed!! This product was perfect as it was cannot understand the need to add more(unnecessary) ingredients! I used to recommend this product but not now. Why add parfum??? The fact that the original was perfume free was a selling point in my eyes. Please bring back the original product boots!!! Ps my product rating is actually 0 stars but wasnt able to do this!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Needs very hot water to remove! I like cleansing balms but this is very thick and is extremely difficult to remove completely. I know I hadn't managed to remove it as I got a breakout so I was a bit miffed! The only way I got it all off was with very hot water and I know that it's a hot cloth cleanser but that's a bit too hot! The smell is quite pleasant but I do agree that its perhaps not needed.
